Photos by Vote and Dirksen of the New Home Cemetery Monuments

About 1885 Brotherfield Adventists responded to Adventist organizers urging toward new homestead opportunities in North Dakota. Most went to Richville, in German Township, Logan County.

They did not prosper near Richville. About 1900 they began migrating further north to New Home (Lowery township) in Stutsman County, North Dakota, where they started an Adventist congregation in Mary Wall's sod house. Later they built a Church (red balloon "A" on satellite map below) on Wentworth land, a mile east, at 5251 7th St SE Sykeston ND 58486-9612.
