Mennonite delegates on a similar visit in 1874 returned to Russia and encouraged many,
including Dirksen families, to immigrate into the Dakota Territories.

Mennonite records reveal most of the Dutch, Prussian, Russian and early South Dakota history of Dirksens. Seventh Day Adventist records reveal much of Pioneer Dirksen history in North Dakota.
